Community education about mental health and wellness is an integral part of our mission. Through our education programs and resources that reach thousands of Marylanders and National Capital Region residents each year, EveryMind seeks to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and mental illness and open the conversation about what needs to be done to prioritize mental health treatment and support.

Training for Mental Health Professionals

    MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA)

    EveryMind is a local administrator of three Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) modules – Adult, Youth, and Military, Veterans, and their Families. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour, evidence-based training presented by certified Mental Health First Aid USA instructors. Participants learn how to support someone who is developing a mental health challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis.

    We offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings with generous support from SAHMSA and Montgomery County. Please contact us regarding funding options for your course.

    EveryMind’s Education Department was awarded a 5-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide Adult MHFA to any health care or behavioral health care provider in the DMV.
